Youth Programs

Priceville Volunteer Fire Department is proud to sponsor both a Learning for Life Fire Explorer Post and a National Volunteer Fire Council Junior Firefighter Program.  We are also active supporters of the Priceville Junior High School Explorer Club.

Our Fire Explorer Program is open to young men and women between the ages of 14 and 20 who are from Priceville or any of our neighboring communities in Morgan County.  Prospective Explorers register to participate with the post through Learning for Life.

Our Junior Firefighter Program is open to young men and women between the ages of 16 and 18 who live within the Priceville Fire Department coverage area.  Junior Firefighters are recommended for the program by the Junior Advisor, approved by the Fire Chief, and then voted into the department as a junior member.  All of our Junior Firefighters are also members of Fire Explorer Post 2530.

We have numerous dedicated members who volunteer their time to be trained advisors providing experienced adult leadership and guidance to our future firefighters.

Meetings are usually held the first and third Tuesday of each month at 6PM at Station 1 on Bethel Road.  Come on by and check it out.
